Today we are joined by Zerie who shares her journey with us. She is the author of the newly released book; I am also a Woman.

Zerie was diagnosed with the condition; MRKH. According to Medlineplus.com; Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser (MRKH) syndrome is a disorder that occurs in females and mainly affects the reproductive system. This condition causes the vagina and uterus to be underdeveloped or absent, although external genitalia are normal. Affected women usually do not have menstrual periods due to the absent uterus. Often, the first noticeable sign of MRKH syndrome is that menstruation does not begin by age 16 (primary amenorrhea).

Zerie shares her experience with MRKH and the impact it had on her life, marriage and family. She also highlights the impact that Culture could have on one's Infertility journey.
